Kepler College of Astrological Arts and Sciences, begun at an impromptu meeting when the commitment was made to start the process of getting all of the information needed to create a degree-granting college of
astrological studies. All the participants agreed that they were not interested in creating a trade school: it was all the way or nothing.
They discussed what the college would "look like" and decided on the name. They divided up into committees; each assigned to a certain task, and assigned Board
positions, even though we were not yet incorporated.
The actual incorporation date was 8/13/1992, the date stamped on the incorporation papers which arrived by mail. It would do no good to actually go to Olympia and hand submit the papers, because they would not be processed until later. So the papers were mailed to the state capital, Olympia.
The first term started with the Distance Learning portion on 7/20/2000. It was open in the early afternoon at about 1:00 PM, but there was a mistake and the administrator actually sent the email to welcome the students and formally open at 9:25 AM.
The first actual Symposium was 8/08/2000 at 1:00 PM. This was the first time that the students and faculty actually met face-to-face.
