Biography
British actor who began as a comedian and segued into one of Britain's top comedy scriptwriters. Cryer wrote for some of the world's most renowned comedians, including George Burns and Bob Hope as well as for some of the top TV shows of the UK. By the '90s, he was most visible on TV with adult stand-up routines himself and in daytime TV shows, where his repartee enhanced the program.
